We have yet to repeat some, but we never found the time, and since we needed yoghurt sauce for our following recipe (version 2.0 of our delicious falafel), we have taken advantage of it.

It looks a lot like the original recipe, but in addition to substituting vegan for the yoghurt, we've adjusted it to make it even more prosperous.

It is worth not buying packaged sauces and making them at home because they are usually cheaper and much healthier.

Vegan Yoghurt Sauce without Soy | danceofstoves.com #vegan
Advice:

  • I have used coconut yoghurt, but you can use soy yoghurt or any other type of vegan yoghurt.
  • Substitute milder olive oil if you want, but avoid refined oils.
  • You can use mint dry instead of fresh if you find it more practical or easier to find.
  • I remove the germ from the garlic so that it does not repeat, but if they are still too strong for you, you can use garlic powder which is a bit more digestive.

Vegan Yoghurt Sauce
Vegan yoghurt sauce, straightforward to make, healthy and delicious. I have used coconut yoghurt, but you can use your favourite vegan yoghurt.

Ingredients SCALE (1x)

  • One vegan yoghurt
  • One tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • Two tablespoons lemon juice
  • One teaspoon minced fresh mint
  • Two cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • Pepper to taste

Ingredients SCALE (2x)

  • Two vegan yoghurt
  • Two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Four tablespoons lemon juice
  • Two teaspoons minced fresh mint
  • Four cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • One teaspoon of sea salt
  • Pepper to taste

Ingredients SCALE (3x)

  • Three vegan yoghurt
  • Three tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Six tablespoons lemon juice
  • Three teaspoons minced fresh mint
  • Six garlic cloves, very minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix with the help of a spoon until they are well integrated.
  2. Chill the sauce in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
