During the summer, I don't usually use the oven much because the heat takes away my desire, so as soon as autumn arrives, I go back to making all kinds of sweets and baked goods.

I was craving cookies and chocolate, but I wanted a healthy recipe, and this is what came out: some delicious vegan chocolate cookies

Whenever we have time, we try to take photos of the step-by-step, especially of the masses, so that it costs less to make the recipes.

In the photo above, you can see how the dough was left and the one below the cookies before and after baking them.

The dough is a bit sticky, but it is easy to shape the cookies if you get your hands wet.

Until a couple of years ago, I never used oatmeal to cook, and now it is one of my favourite ingredients.

I'm not celiac, but gluten doesn't suit me very well, except for oatmeal.

I love it because it gives a lot of play in the kitchen, it has a vibrant flavour and is easy to find and is very inexpensive.

Advice:

  • You don't have to use the same ingredients as me; you can use another sweetener (preferably liquid or a texture similar to maple syrup) and another nut butter.
  • You can also substitute the almond butter for coconut oil or applesauce or even eliminate this ingredient. If you see that the dough does not turn out well, add a little more banana or sweetener.
  • If you don't like bananas, use applesauce. I do not know how to tell you the exact amount, but I recommend that you add all the ingredients except the compote and then add it little by little until you get the right texture to shape the cookies.
  • Since I discovered raw cocoa is the only thing I use, the downside is that it is more expensive and difficult to find. You can also use unsweetened cocoa powder, but avoid the cocoa preparations usually taken for breakfast; they have many sugar and other processed ingredients.
