It works best in the food processor, but I have tried it in the Vitamix and the Thermomix, and it is also delicious.

The only downside is that it melts very quickly as it does not have additives or as much fat as conventional ice cream; although it has an easy solution, you can eat it at the moment or put it in the freezer and take it out a while before so that it is not too hard.

I have never been a big fan of chocolate ice cream because it was too bitter for me, but I love this ice cream; in fact, I find it hard to stop eating!

Advice:

  • I recommend that you add the cocoa little by little because maybe you like it with a more or less intense flavour.
  • If you like the ice cream sweeter, add some natural sweetener and beat again.
  • I use raw cocoa powder, but the unsweetened cocoa powder sold in supermarkets and carob flour (or carob powder) also work, but you may have to add more.
  • Use very ripe bananas because that way, the ice cream will be sweeter.
  • For the chocolate sauce, you can use the liquid sweetener that you like best.
  • If you don't have cocoa nibs, you can use a dark chocolate bar and cut it into pieces with a knife.
