Advice:

  • If you dare to make homemade bread, we recommend that you try our rye recipe and spelt bread; it is straightforward, comfortable, and too rich.
  • You can use any tomato; they don't have to be cherry tomatoes, although I like them better for making toasts because they have a sweeter flavour and are more convenient to chop.
  • The balsamic vinegar gives it a unique touch, but you can use any other vinegar or lemon juice.
  • Instead of basil, you can use any fresh or dried herb; oregano is also delicious and is usually cheaper.
  • If garlic does not suit you very well, you can suppress it or use garlic powder, which is usually more digestive.

Ingredients SCALE (1x)

  • Six cherry tomatoes
  • One teaspoon balsamic or Modena vinegar
  • 1/2 avocado
  • One clove garlic
  • Three slices of bread (with or without gluten)
  • Fresh basil
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper

Ingredients SCALE (2x)

  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • Two teaspoons balsamic or Modena vinegar
  • One avocado
  • Two cloves of garlic
  • Six slices of bread (with or without gluten)
  • Fresh basil
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper

Ingredients SCALE (3x)

  • 18 cherry tomatoes
  • Three teaspoons balsamic or Modena vinegar
  • 1 1/2 avocado
  • Three cloves of garlic
  • Nine slices of bread (with or without gluten)
  • Fresh basil
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop the tomatoes and put them in a bowl.
  2. Add the vinegar and stir.
  3. Chop the avocado into strips and the garlic very finely.
  4. You can toast the bread or not; it is optional, we do not toast it.
  5. Place the avocado on the bread, add the cherries, the chopped garlic clove and finally chopped fresh basil, salt and pepper to taste.
