The BEST Homemade Peach Jam

peach jam
Although I am more sweet than salty for breakfast, I cannot resist a good homemade jam, especially peach jam.

The good thing about jams is that we can enjoy fruits that are out of season and miss throughout the year.

For this reason, taking advantage of the fact that peaches are ending their season and that we needed the jam for the recipe for the beauty and pistachio cake of the El Asaltablogs challenge, we have decided to make it.

peach jam
This recipe for peach jam is straightforward and very similar to our strawberry jam

However, this time we have used agave syrup instead of brown sugar, and we have had to crush the bottleneck because, unlike strawberries, peaches do not need they undid so much.

If you do not have agar, you can not add anything to it or use gelatin, although agar is more natural and vegan.

This recipe works for any fruit, and you can rectify the amount of agave sugar (or whatever you use) on the fly because not all fruits are equally sweet and because we each have our tastes, and you may like it more or less precious than us.

The fact is that if you like jam, you are encouraged to make it homemade because it is much healthier and it is also much more prosperous.

We are delighted to have our homemade peach jam for breakfast; it is beautiful!

Ingredients SCALE (1x)

  • 300 grams of peach
  • 75 millilitres of water
  • Two tablespoons agave syrup
  • The juice of half a lemon
  • 2 grams of agar-agar

Ingredients SCALE (2x)

  • 600 grams of peach
  • 150 millilitres of water
  • Four tablespoons of agave syrup
  • The juice of half a lemon
  • 4 grams of agar-agar

Ingredients SCALE (3x)

  • 900 grams of peach
  • 225 millilitres of water
  • Six tablespoons agave syrup
  • The juice of half a lemon
  • 6 grams of agar-agar

  1. We peel the peaches and chop them. It does not matter the size because then we are going to crush the jam.
  2. We put the peach pieces in a saucepan with the water, the lemon juice and the agave and put it over medium heat for 30 minutes.
  3. Look at the container of your agar, and you will know how long it has to be boiling. We add it to the jam for 4 minutes before removing it from the heat.
  4. Remove from the heat and blend with the help of a blender.
  5. When the jam is colder, we can put it in a pot.
