Homemade Nachos With Cheese

Nachos | danceofstoves.com
I love nachos

Significantly if I can dip them in a creamy sauce like cheese or guacamole

The problem is that packaged nachos are full of hydrogenated fats, food colouring and other chemical ingredients that I don't really like, so when we made our homemade tortillas, we didn't think twice and got to work.

The recipe could not be more straightforward; the tortillas are cut to the size you like, the nachos are baked for just 5 minutes, and the spices you like the most are added.

We smear a little oil on it before baking, but you can skip this step if you want a lighter version.

The result has been spectacular, some very crunchy nachos with a slightly spicy flavour from the chilli, but if you don't like them spicy, don't add it, and that's it.

The best thing about nachos is that they admit almost any spice, so you can make it with the ones you prefer or with the ones you have at home.

This recipe is ideal for lactose intolerant and celiac because the tortillas are made from corn and because the formula is lactose-free.

Lately, I am avoiding dairy because they do not suit me, and many packaged nachos have cheese, but with this recipe, I will no longer have to stay with the desire, and on top of that, I can make them to my liking.

We have also made our vegan cheese sauce that tastes amazing.

It has the same texture and a very similar flavour; it seems incredible that it is not real cheese

The ingredients are straightforward and healthy.

Ingredients SCALE (1x)

  • Four tortillas
  • Extra virgin olive oil (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon brewer's yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • One chilli

Ingredients SCALE (2x)

  • Eight tortillas
  • Extra virgin olive oil (optional)
  • One teaspoon onion powder
  • One teaspoon garlic powder
  • One teaspoon brewer's yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Two chilli

Ingredients SCALE (3x)

  • 12 tortillas
  • Extra virgin olive oil (optional)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon brewer's yeast
  • 3/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Three chilli

  1. Cut the tortillas into triangles of the size we want, paint them with a bit of oil (optional) and place them on a tray on baking paper.
  2. With the previously preheated oven, we put the nachos for 5 minutes at 200 degrees in the central part of the oven. We take them out and let them cool. You must bear in mind that as soon as they come out of the range, the nachos are not crunchy since they harden when they cool.
  3. We mix the spices in a bowl. You can mix them by hand or put them in a grinder or kitchen robot so that they are crushed even more and fully integrated, although it is not necessary. If you do it by hand, you have to chop the chilli with a knife into the possible minor pieces or use chilli powder.
  4. When the nachos are completely cold, we add the spices. We anointed them with the help of our hands, rubbing them so that they were well impregnated.
