Turmeric Latte Recipe {Healthy!}

Turmeric latte: Turmeric latte is a perfect substitute for coffee. It is a very healthy, affordable, creamy and delicious drink; it has it all!
Autumn is just around the corner, and warm drinks are already appealing, especially to us who are so cold, and at the slightest bit we have to put on some clothes. ?

I have never been very into coffee, but I did ask for a latte from time to time because they were sweet, rich and had foam.

I discovered matcha latte while in Berlin, and I loved it (let's see if I can show you the recipe), but I prefer I don't drink caffeinated beverages often.

Matcha isn't exactly affordable, which is why I'm delighted with this turmeric latte, because it has it all: it's healthy, it's super-rich, it's creamy, it's frothy, and it's affordable.

You do not have to use almond milk; you can use any other vegetable milk or natural sweetener.

I also recommend adding turmeric little by little because it has a strong flavour, and you may like it with less quantity.

If you want to enhance turmeric's excellent properties, you can add a little ground black pepper, although I like it better without pepper.

  • Preparation: 5 mins
  • Total: 5 minutes
  • Servings: 2 (1x), 4 (2x), 6 (3x)
  • Category: Drink
  • Cuisine: Vegan, Italian

Ingredients SCALE (1x)

  • Two cups of almond milk (500 ml) *
  • One teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Two tablespoons maple or agave syrup

Ingredients SCALE (2x)

  • Four cups of almond milk (1000 ml) *
  • Two teaspoon turmeric powder
  • One teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Four tablespoons maple or agave syrup

Ingredients SCALE (3x)

  • Six cups of almond milk (1500 ml) *
  • Three teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Six tablespoons maple or agave syrup

Instructions

  1. Heat the almond milk in a saucepan over high heat but without bringing it to a boil.
  2. Remove from the heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Stir and taste. If it is not to your liking, you can add more turmeric, cinnamon or sweetener and if it is solid, add a little more milk or sweetener.
  3. To have so much foam, we use a cappuccino whisk, but it is optional. Another option is to beat the hot milk in a blender with the rest of the ingredients to foam it.

Notes

  • * We use unsweetened almond milk; that's why we add the syrup afterwards, but if you use sweetened almond milk, taste it before adding any sweetener and add it little by little.
