How to Make Cashew Milk - Step by Step
Step by step photos of how to make cashew milk at home

  • Soak the cashews the night before or in hot water for 30 minutes before making the milk.
  • Strain the cashews (photo 1), wash them well and beat them together with the water until they are well integrated (photo 2).
  • Strain the milk with the help of a non-dairy milk bag, a fine-mesh strainer or a piece of cloth (photo 3).
  • Enjoy your hot or cold milk (photo 4).

Advice

  • Ideally, the cashews should be raw and unsalted, but you can use them roasted if you can't find them. What I do recommend is that they do not have salt and that they are not fried.
  • You could substitute the cashews for any other dried fruit and make different plant milk.
  • When you make the milk, first use 3 cups of water (750 ml), whisk and add more depending on the texture you are looking for.
  • You can also flavour the milk by adding other ingredients such as vanilla extract, cocoa powder or some sweetener (dates, sugar, maple syrup, etc.).
